SOCIAL WORK EXPERIENCE

As a parent, breast cancer survivor, and mental health advocate my goal is to help people navigate through life’s challenges by offering an atmosphere of warmth, acceptance and openness. I believe taking care of mental health is imperative to one’s emotional well being.

I have been a practicing clinical social worker since 2007. After many years working within the hospital setting I’ve expanded my practice to help support individuals outside of the clinical world. I am a staff member at the Cancer Support Community Center in addition to being employed at Trinity Health Ann Arbor in the Maternal Child Health Division. I am very experienced working with postpartum mood disorders, parenting education/stress, children's art therapy, cancer support, grief and loss, and medically fragile infants/children.  Please see the specialities section of my website for all areas of treatment to determine if we would be a good fit.

Due to public health safety concerns, all sessions will be conducted virtually. Once we have connected and decided to move forward with a counseling relationship, consent to treat forms will be emailed. These forms discuss consent to virtual counseling, electronic communication, emergency contacts, mental health history, and basic demographics. Our sessions will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
